Edinburgh Trams 2014 - 2023

The first section of the Edinburgh tramway opened on 31st May 2014, the line then ran from the airport to York Place in the city centre, the second section opened on 7th June 2023 and runs from Picardy Place (adjacent to York Place) to Newhaven via Leith, the total length of the line is now 18.5 km (11.5 miles). This DVD shows scenes from the whole length of the route. The service is provided by 27 Urbos3 7 section articulated trams built by CAF in Spain, these are numbered from 251 to 277. This video consists of film taken during the testing and driver training in the months up to the opening, film taken during the first days of public service,  plus film of the whole route including the Newhaven extension in September 2021 and June 2023. Wide screen, PAL (UK) system, total running time 74 minutes, no commentary, subtitles.
