GENT TRAMWAYS 150TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS, HERITAGE TRAMS IN GENT CITY CENTRE & SUBURBS, PLUS MODERN GENT TRAMS IN 2013 & 2024. 

The first horse tram in Gent ran in 1874, electrification followed in 1904, the 150th anniversary was celebrated with a tram parade on 19th May 2024, featuring a horse tram, a steam tram, a diesel tram, and electric trams from the early C20th to the latest Bombardier Flexity 2 trams. Heritage trams were operated on the 18th and 19th May on several routes, regular tram services were provided by the Flexity 2 and Hermilijn trams. The Gent trams in 2013 chapter features many of the PCC cars that are now withdrawn, 3 preserved PCC cars were in the tram parade. Running time 75 minutes, wide screen PAL (UK) system, no commentary, subtitles, enjoy the sights and sounds of trams in Gent.
